The term “gender” Has been used widely in the field of academics especially after 1980s. However the objective of the term has not been accomplished yet because of a lot of obstacles. Initially the term had been used with the envision that people would understand the meaning of the term and change their behavior accordingly. However, the meaning and objective of the term remained incomplete as the people considered intellectual remained silent to uplift and support to gender equality. Along with this, some other influential people in the society changed this spirit and used according to their interest.
Initially the term had been used for those people who are beyond the area of knowledge of gender performance as construction. People of this category fall both male and female of the society who considers that male and female are as natural as they perform their work in the real field. Some people in our society are still think that we are because of gender difference ; for them if we erase the demarcation between male and female we don’t remain man as man and woman as woman; our category will change and the humanity will come to an end . For those people I would like to say that if we follow this method we will certainly get into true humanity because we are not difference according to our gender performance by birth; rather this category has been created after our birth and we have been applying this spirit throughout our life. Consequently this category has created the great gulf between male and female which is very devastating for whole humanity.
The traditional thinkers assume that female are naturally weak that’s why they cast women as irrational, emotional and submissive and male as strong, protective, and decisive. This distinction ultimately has established the tradition that even our children practice this tradition along with their growth and development. What can we expect out of those children who are brought up with such education which considers that gender performance is not human construction because it is transmitted from our generation? Because of this tradition of education we are in a great gulf of humanity that separate and make the single humanity into two categories. If natural phenomena is changed and used according to our will the result is certainly devastating and we are not benefitted at this mode of humanity. That’s why we have to consider that the while humanity is in the verge of extinction and for the protection of the whole humanity we should contribute to the field of gender equality and save the world along with the spirit of equality between man and woman in the same society.
Moreover, the distinction between male and female is pervasive in the field of industries; the workers in the field of industries are not paid equally. Men and women, for example are paid with biasness; women are paid less than male are paid for doing the same job thereby exploiting women in the field of performance and this biasness will certainly bring the gap between man and women. This gap is simple for anyone who observes it surfacely but this will leave neither women nor men. Men will also be affected by this gulf massively because the society is the sum total of men and women and if female are affected male will certainly be affected. By considering this fact, we come to the conclusion that the social constructing of this gender category is not natural and if this is human construction we can change it according to our will and apply it in our interest. That’s why we should think in time that to develop the nation and whole humanity in proper manner we should erase the gap between man and women and respect women in all areas of concern.
